Once again the animal world is in a state of discourse, people who dewclaw their cats are cruel and do not even know it, there are three reasons cats need their claws and owners need to know that they are at risk of death when their claws are removed.
One they are at the mercy of predators, two they need their claws to stretch this is how they exercise, three they need to scratch themselves when the fleas bother them to much so I hope those of you who own cats will understand no more dew clawing cats, and there should be a law against it!!!
I was reading an article on the Internet on a medical site that claimed that petting a cat can help to deduce high blood pressure in people as well as lowering the blood pressure in cats when humans pet them, so with the passing of my very special buddy "BABY" I am now without my special high blood pressure lowering apparatus of sorts!
I will have to admit that my cat "BABY" was my little buddy, when he was here with me he would sit on my lap and purr away and wag his tail in a slow pampered cat way, he was helping me be able to lower my blood pressure when I went into Kaiser for a check up I went from 149 over 88 to 119 over 68 and that was real good, now I do not know if that will stay that way, time will tell.
I am sure many of you reading this have had a pet or two or more that have died or that you had to have euthanized, sorrow and pain normally accompany this. Over the years I have had a number of loving animals that I lost from illness or old age or accidents like my Siamese Sweaty she was run over by some one.
I had to put my sweet dog Sugar Bear to sleep in 86 and I lost Midnight my Black Burmese cat from someone poisoning her, and I lost Precious at the vets office she had a heart attack! When pets die I am sure some of us mourn like they were our children.
Then I lost Princess she was attacked by coyotes when I was gone at the time I lived in the country so we had coyotes all over the place. Then I lost my dog Apricot and other cats that I have loved as well. If you are an animal lover as I am I would like to meet you and get to know you as you must be a good person, except animal abusers, and on causes with face book we are seeing a lot of animal abusers who should be taken out behind the out house and given the one what for!
Today is a day that is referred to as "A Bad Day At Bad rock"! Yes it was my bad day today as I had to put my beautiful cat who is my little buddy to sleep, yes euthanasia. He was a great cat and as with all animal lovers that is the day of dread. His name is BABY he is a big beautiful Orange feral cat 15 pounds but cancer ate him to the point he was just 6 pounds, and when I had him euthanized I cried like a BABY! Pun intended!
As old as I am I do not think that I can have any more animals because I think the good lord above should be calling me home soon and I would not want to deprive an animal of a good home with a family so I will forgo any more animals!
Update: My friend Laura left her cat Tami with me to watch because she is homeless lost her job then her home, thanks to someone murdering her employer, stabbed to death by a friend WOW! With friends like that who needs enemies??
