WHEN OUR LOVING PETS DIE article by: James Thomas Fridas
JULY 6, 2014
Once again the animal world is in a state of discourse, people who dewclaw their cats are cruel and do not even know it, there are three reasons cats need their claws and owners need to know that they are at risk of death when their claws are removed.
One they are at the mercy of predators, two they need their claws to stretch this is how they exercise, three they need to scratch themselves when the fleas bother them to much so I hope those of you who own cats will understand no more dew clawing cats, and there should be a law against it!!!
I was reading an article on the Internet on a medical site that claimed that petting a cat can help to deduce high blood pressure in people as well as lowering the blood pressure in cats when humans pet them, so with the passing of my very special buddy "BABY" I am now without my special high blood pressure lowering apparatus of sorts!
I will have to admit that my cat "BABY" was my little buddy, when he was here with me he would sit on my lap and purr away and wag his tail in a slow pampered cat way, he was helping me be able to lower my blood pressure when I went into Kaiser for a check up I went from 149 over 88 to 119 over 68 and that was real good, now I do not know if that will stay that way, time will tell.
I am sure many of you reading this have had a pet or two or more that have died or that you had to have euthanized, sorrow and pain normally accompany this. Over the years I have had a number of loving animals that I lost from illness or old age or accidents like my Siamese Sweaty she was run over by some one.
I had to put my sweet dog Sugar Bear to sleep in 86 and I lost Midnight my Black Burmese cat from someone poisoning her, and I lost Precious at the vets office she had a heart attack! When pets die I am sure some of us mourn like they were our children.
Then I lost Princess she was attacked by coyotes when I was gone at the time I lived in the country so we had coyotes all over the place. Then I lost my dog Apricot and other cats that I have loved as well. If you are an animal lover as I am I would like to meet you and get to know you as you must be a good person, except animal abusers, and on causes with face book we are seeing a lot of animal abusers who should be taken out behind the out house and given the one what for!
Today is a day that is referred to as "A Bad Day At Bad rock"! Yes it was my bad day today as I had to put my beautiful cat who is my little buddy to sleep, yes euthanasia. He was a great cat and as with all animal lovers that is the day of dread. His name is BABY he is a big beautiful Orange feral cat 15 pounds but cancer ate him to the point he was just 6 pounds, and when I had him euthanized I cried like a BABY! Pun intended!
As old as I am I do not think that I can have any more animals because I think the good lord above should be calling me home soon and I would not want to deprive an animal of a good home with a family so I will forgo any more animals!
Update: My friend Laura left her cat Tami with me to watch because she is homeless lost her job then her home, thanks to someone murdering her employer, stabbed to death by a friend WOW! With friends like that who needs enemies??

More people are in the news as there have been a rash of unexpected events. Just recently a man was driving to work in the Oakland area and he saw a fire ragging out of control as he was on his way to work he stopped his car and ran into the burning home and rescued an entire family

Something clicked inside Joseph Trapani.
"It was just a reaction," the 29-year-old Hercules resident said Monday. "I didn't think about it. I just started moving.
"I don't think it's that big a deal, to be honest."
An elderly man who was sleeping at the home in the 2200 block of Lupine Road would probably beg to differ. Trapani rescued the man from the blaze Saturday afternoon by rushing into the home, waking him and carrying him out the front door.
Fire investigators believe the blaze started in the engine compartment of a 1999 Honda sedan that was parked in the garage of the home. The heat from the fire ignited the eaves and roof of the house, Battalion Chief Brian Lowry said.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A fire in Pittsburgh’s Oakland section heavily damaged a two-story house occupied by a man and his wife on Friday evening.
Before firefighters arrived, a couple of college juniors took matters into their own hands, risking their lives to help bring one victims out to safety.cting on impulse, the University of Pittsburgh college students – both from the Mon Valley – entered the burning, smoke-filled home and helped carry an elderly man down the stairs.
The man’s wife was already on the porch outside the home.
Josh Yoskosky says he and his roommate, Joe Fogiato, heard a commotion outside and saw smoke coming from the house next door.
MODESTO (CBS13) – Firefighters in Modesto were able to save the life of a man who was found unconscious inside of a burning home Monday.
At around 2 a.m., firefighters from the Modesto Regional Fire Authority received word of a structure fire at 220 West Rumble Road in Modesto. Crews went to the address and found heavy amounts of smoke pouring out of a townhome. Neighbors told firefighters a male senior lived at the home and was probably still inside.
Firefighters aggressively battled the blaze, entered the home and found the unconscious man. They took him outside and found he was not breathing, nor did he have a pulse. They administered CPR, and within minutes, the man regained a pulse and was breathing on his own.
Firefighters extinguished the second-alarm blaze within 45 minutes, said Kimberly French, a spokeswoman for the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
The woman was taken to the hospital and later transferred to a burn unit in San Francisco. Her 71-year-old daughter did not appear harmed.
The three teenagers were driving in the neighborhood when they saw smoke and hurried to the home, authorities said. California High Principal Mark Corti confirmed the students attended the school, and said the fire occurred "during school hours."
One of the students was identified by his family as Peter Kravariotis, a 17-year-old senior who is a four-year starter as goalie on the school's varsity lacrosse team. His father, Steve Kravariotis, said his son and the other teenagers were running late getting back to school after a break, when they sprung into action.
"He would give the shirt off his back. It doesn't surprise me what he did today," the elder Kravariotis said. "It was meant to be today for them to be late."
The names of the other two students were not available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Next-door neighbor Andrea Allen said it sounded like oxygen tanks were exploding.
These are just some of the stories that are in the local news and around the nation there are numerous more episodes of people saving peoples lives, no reward system is available there should be and a monetary award as well.

ANOTHER GREAT HERO
RECKLESS
Reckless was a pack horse during the Korean war, and she carried recoil-less rifles, ammunition and supplies to Marines. Nothing too unusual about that, lots of animals got pressed into doing pack chores in many wars.
Reckless was a pack horse during the Korean war, and she carried recoil-less rifles, ammunition and supplies to Marines. Nothing too unusual about that, lots of animals got pressed into doing pack chores in many wars.
But this horse did something more…. during the battle for a location called Outpost Vegas, this mare made 50 trips up and down the hill, on the way up she carried ammunition, and on the way down she carried wounded soldiers…
What was so amazing?
Well she made every one of those trips through enemy fire and without anyone leading her.
Here’s her story and photos to prove where she was
and what she did….
